Introduction
Building renovation of revamped offices, new amenities, decor upgrades, heating system improvements, security enhancements, and external improvements.
In 2022 we were awarded the contract to carry out the installation of a new canteen, offices and changing rooms for our client in Woodside Industrial Park, Dunstable.
The building underwent a significant transformation, including reconfiguring office spaces, upgrading amenities like the kitchen and changing rooms, and refreshing the decor with new lighting, flooring, and furnishings. Upgrades also extended to installing new boilers, radiators, and security systems, while external enhancements included new lighting and entrance doors, along with a custom smoking shelter in the car park.

Scope of Work
Works included the stripping out of ground floor offices, demolishing internal walls, forming doorways to create an effective flow from reception hall to offices, canteen and changing rooms.
A new kitchen was installed along with new services and drainage along with new power, data and lighting throughout. The existing heating system was upgraded with new commercial boilers and new radiators.
All areas received a fresh new look with decorations, window blinds and new flooring throughout. Commercial changing room equipment and furniture were installed, including urinals, W.C’s and modifications to the hot, cold and waste supplies.
Additionally, we installed new services for our clients security system, new external lighting, and new main entrance doors, a bespoke smoking shelter was also erected within car park.

Challenges and Solutions
The validations & investigations brought up a lot of additional work which were not originally planned, but essential. The area had been mainly unused for sometime which required some validation and investigations prior to works commencing. Our construction site was also close to our client’s Bakery which required strict dust controls and consideration on noisy and disruptive works.
Project Outcome
Our client and staff were very happy with the outcome and considering the additional works all works were completed within the original timeframe.
